How do I create a VBAN?

Before starting the process, make sure that you have the necessary information stored in the karoot application, such as your email and a debit or credit card. Activating the VBAN incurs a one-time charge of €4.

The email is needed in order to receive the first notifications for the creation of your VBAN, while the credit / debit card with a balance of at least €4 is needed for the one-time charge of the VBAN creation.

To create a VBAN follow the steps below:

• Go to the "Balance" menu
• If you haven't already created a VBAN, you still show the "Create VBAN" button. Tap it.
• Since you have already updated your account with a credit or debit card and your profile email, you should see the green checkmarks for these info. In any case there are buttons that lead you respectively to "Payments & promos" & "Profile" so that you can add new data or replace the existing ones.
• After confirmation of card details and email appears, tap the switch to enable VBAN.
• Write a username by which the users to whom you will deposit the amounts will be able to identify you.
• Finally, press "Continue".

If it is about a business, on the next page press the Settings button in order to enter the VAT number of your company in order to receive invoices, and an additional email which will receive reports of trips made and other related documents.
