Balances can be reset from an account either because they have been consumed, or because 3 months have passed since the corresponding amount was deposited in the VBAN.
3 months after depositing an amount to your VBAN, the remaining amount of that deposit will be returned back to the bank account from where it was deposited. This means that the corresponding amount will be deducted from your Balance as well as from the corresponding balance you have offered to other user accounts.
