I won a first trip promo. What should i do now?

Congratulations on the promo you won! Let's see how to add it to the app and use it on your first ride with karoot!

The first ride promo comes with a notification in your email.
There you will see the amount (e.g. €5) that you will earn if you use it on your first ride. Under the coupon code it also states its expiration date, that is, until what date you can use this coupon if you are late to make your first ride with karoot.


      Valid until 15/10/25

It is important to enter your coupon and activate it before your first trip in order to be able to earn the discount of the corresponding amount on it.

How do I enter the promo into the app?

There are 2 ways to enter your promo into the karoot app in order to use it on your first ride:

• By clicking on the button with the coupon code (as long as you received the email on the same device that you have the karoot application)

• Alternatively, you can open the app and go to the Payments menu. There, click "Add" in the promo section and on the next screen, enter the coupon code in the available field and click the add button to add the coupon to your account.
   

   

   It is now available for use!
 

How do I use the coupon on my first trip?

To be able to use the coupon you need:

• either go to the "Payments" menu before your first trip, or press the "payment" button before searching for a taxi or after calling and during your first trip
   

From the application menu, select "Payments"

Before searching for a taxi, you can select the "Pay" button.

After requesting a taxi, while waiting, or during the ride, you can select the "payment" button.

• enter and select a debit/credit card or Apple/Google Pay as a payment method in the application so that it can be used for the difference that may arise upon completion of your first trip. 
  For example, if the amount you earned for your first ride is €5 and your ride costs €7, the difference of €2 will have to be paid from the card you enter in the application.
